Cooliverse.com ("Cooliverse," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. We never sell your personal data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. By using Cooliverse you agree to the practices described here.
Account information. When you create an account we collect your name and email address through Supabase, our authentication provider. You may sign in with email and password or a supported third-party provider such as Google.
Gift list data. When you use our gift list features we store the lists you create, the products you add to them, and any sharing or reservation activity associated with your lists.
Bookmarks and likes. Products you bookmark or like are stored and associated with your account so they persist across sessions.
Usage data. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about how visitors use the site, including pages visited, time spent, and general geographic region. This data cannot be used to personally identify you. We also log anonymous search queries to understand what people are looking for — these logs contain no user identifier.
Technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard server log information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is used for security and infrastructure purposes.

We may also send marketing emails such as new product highlights, gifting inspiration, and special promotions. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional emails such as gift reminders, which are core to the service.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only with service providers that handle personal data as part of delivering the service:
We also use standard hosting and infrastructure providers to run the site. These providers process server-level data (such as IP addresses in access logs) but do not have access to your personal account data. Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Cooliverse and its users.
When you share a gift list, it becomes accessible to anyone with your share link. Others can view the list and mark items as reserved. Reservation details are kept anonymous from you until the date you configure (if any), after which you may see who reserved an item if they chose to make that visible.
You can revoke a share link at any time from your dashboard. Revoking the link immediately disables access and removes any reservations made by others.

Essential cookies. We use session cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain basic site functionality. These are required for the site to work and cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous data about how visitors use the site. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third parties.
We retain your account and gift list data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymous data such as search logs and analytics data is retained indefinitely as it contains no personal identifiers.
All users. You may update your account information at any time from your profile settings. You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data by contacting us.
EU / EEA residents (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or export your personal data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. California residents (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of any sale of your data. We do not sell personal data. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
Cooliverse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Cooliverse after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
